OH HEY SUP

So basically BS has been waiting to drop a huge bomb on y'all. The boyz have been chillin out since realeasin BS3, but shit's about to hit the fan for BS fans 'n' shit. If you head over to check out our upcoming shows you will see the following:

Yeah that's right. Come late June BS is returning to calgary for a homecoming slam. Besides the fact that they are going to rock the fucking house, they are playing alongside some of their favourite acts! Check out all the links to learn more about the festival and artists.

SO, ANYWAYS

Thanks to those who came out to support BS, the show was awesome, the boys were on fire, and there was even a surprise opening act - mysterious rock duo The War In Iraq, who dedicated their one-song set to a cover of Sounds Like BS's "Southern Swang."

BS will be playing another show with B'MO Crazy, Hush Money and Boxes & Bags on April 16th (NOT the 19th, as previously written)! You should come out. There will also be an album realease show in late April (I know, we keep pushing it back, wha eva) and we will provide more detials about that soon.

And don't forget to drop a line if you like what you hear.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN (erryone):

BS3 is officially in sight! The album will be released by juiceboxdotcom independently as a pay-what-you-can download. Pay what you can! The exact date is not finalized, but expect to listen to this ten track magnus opus in the first week of April! Yeah I know we said March but fuck that and fuck you.

EDIT: To celebrate we have redesigned the "Media" section and added 2 new songs for you to preview! Enjoy!

OK, so BS gets back from their sexy vacation at Niagara Falls and is greeted with the following review:


SOUNDS LIKE BS

The B is Dan Busheikin. The S is Mike Searle. Together, the
ex-Calgarians are Sounds Like BS. But they really sound like two guys
with a beatbox, keyboards, microphones, a home studio -- and plenty of
twisted inspiration. White-boy nerds who think they're mack-daddy
hip-hoppers, the BSers deal up bloopy '80s dance-pop laced with
foul-mouthed geek-raps and comically crooned choruses. Sounds like a
winner.

Sun Rating: 4out of 5

VERDICT: "Raising BS to an art form."

Well Darryl Sterdan, thank you for your review. It was as hilarious as it was heartwarming!

In other news, BS has been confirmed to play March 20th at Rancho Relaxo for our friends, B'MO' Crazy! I'm sure we'll be "dealing up" all sorts of "bloopy"beats and "geekrap", but you have to show up to be sure! Click here for the details.

Sounds Like BS would like to thank all their loyal fans and bitchez for coming out to the So&So Magazine fundraiser this past Thursday. The event was a big success, and the Magazine is very grateful to BS for slamming nearly $2000 worth of people! Giddy up.

The site is still being worked on - you'll notice that our MySpace player has been aded to our media page. Also keep an eye on that page for some new picz, videos of the show and more! All will come in time. My suggestion is that you sign up for updates .

In other news, BS3 (Sounds Like BS's third album, for those of you who aren't getting laid) is getting prepped to be released in March. That's really fucking soon - keep checking back to hear the progress (and for all you keeners who keep up with the website, expect some tasty ear candy previews of songs from the upcoming album.... Shhhh)

As for seeing BS Live In Concert, there will be a show in March sometime - perhaps coinciding with the release of BS3. Details to follow in the coming weeks (we hope).

Welcome to the all new official Sounds Like BS website.  Exciting things are happening with BS, so make sure you keep an eye on this site for all your BS needs, and wants, and things you didn't even know you needed to want.  After all, you don’t want to miss a BS Slam. Believe me.

What to watch out for:

    1. BS hits it hard at Cinecycle on the 29th of January for our friends at So&So Magazine.  Come out and support independent media! See the details here.
    2. BS is in the studio working on tracks for their upcoming third album, BS3.  We'll keep you posted on all the progress. If you have been living under a rock, you can hear some of the tracks on the official Sounds Like BS MySpace.
    3. On the 20th, S will be celebrating his sexy 21st birthday! In honour of this momentous occasion, he and close friend HC Shef will be hosting a joint birthday bash on the 24th, at a secret location.  Everyone is welcome. Except for dudes.
